Advanced Leave Management: ADAAA, FMLA and OFCCP Compliance

After a nearly 2 year wait, the U.S. Department of Labor has issued new "final" regulations for Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Vietnam Era Veterans' Readjustment Assistance. Act. These new regulations establish a nationwide 7% utilization goal for qualified individuals with disablities and require federal contractors and subcontractors to collect and analyze data concerning the disability and veteran status of its applicants and employees. The regulations also provide accommodation guidance and "best practices" from which a practical effect may be applicable to all employers. We will discuss the impact of these regulations on all employers and the required steps to comply.
