Management Rights In A Union Organizing Campaign

Designed for management of non-union facilities, this program offers practical tips of what an employer can do and cannot do legally when faced with an actual or potential union organizing campaign. In addition, it will educate managers and supervisors about the differences between what employees really want from an employer and what management thinks they want. Participants will gain insight into why employees choose unions and how successful union-free companies respond to union organizing campaigns.

Learning Objectives:

  • Accurately assess the danger signs of when a union may be attempting to organize your employees
  • Share with employees all you can legally discuss once it becomes clear that union organizing is underway
  • Factually point out to employess those areas where union promises cannot be trusted
  • Work within the formal steps that usually occur under NLRB procedures for a union to gain the right to bargain with an employer on behalf of employees and able to respond accordingly
